Premier League giants Manchester United have completed the signing of Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo from Serie A side Juventus. The Red Devils faced tough competition from fierce rivals Manchester City to acquire the services of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner. CR7’s contract at Old Lady is set to expire next summer. At Juventus, he scored 101 goals in 134 appearances since arriving in 2018.

After the footballer had bid goodbye to his teammates in Italy, he left Turin on a private jet.
This is when things started to unfold with Manchester City confirming that they have dropped the idea of going ahead with negotiations for signing Ronaldo. The doors were then clearly open for Manchester United to step in and get their former player and legend back at the club where he initially rose to fame under Sir Alex Ferguson.

Cristiano Ronaldo was earning a mega salary of €31 million per year at Juventus. It was expected that he might have to take a wage cut in order to return to Man Utd. Considering the mutual respect that both club and player share with each other, the negotiations were always expected to unfold in a smooth way without any major issues.
It did not take much time for Man Utd to submit an official contract proposal to Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes, which was accepted without any issues. Ronaldo has reportedly been offered a 2-year contract.
